Background
I recently retired after teaching elementary art for years. Currently my focus is on pastel and acrylic landscapes painted en plein air or from numerous photos taken locally or on travels.
Inspiration
I draw inspiration from a variety of sources, including nature, and places I encounter on hikes, biking and kayaking in the area. I find travel to be a great motivation for painting . One of my goals is creating emotion and atmosphere through light and texture.
Collecting
I offer artwork in a variety of sizes, both framed and unframed. I can be commissioned to paint a desired image in pastel or acrylic mediums.
Experience
I have been creating art for years, specializing in pastel and acrylic painting. My work has been featured in several local galleries and exhibitions. I also participate in a number of Plein Air events locally.
Style
My work is influenced by the vibrant colors and textures of nature, as well as the emotions and experiences that we all share. I strive to create pieces that are both visually stunning and emotionally impactful.
